Description of Defect/Non-Compliance
Certain vehicles may have an oversized magnet carrier. The magnet carrier acts as the pivot for the throttle pedal. An oversized magnet carrier may cause the throttle pedal to bind. Application of the service brake will override the condition.

Safety Risk
If the throttle pedal fails to return to idle, or binds, it may increase the risk of a crash. Application of the service brake will override the condition.

Cause
Issues with the molding tool for the magnet carrier and improper closing of the mold attributed to the oversized diameter of the part. Introduction of fluids may make the issue worse.
