PREMIERCARE TRAINING

Kenworth Dealerships: Well-Trained Staff, Excellent Resources

A well-trained staff is an essential part of ensuring that you receive high-quality customer service and care for your truck. The other part of the equation? The right software and other materials on hand so that the staff can do its best work. Kenworth PremierCare works hard to achieve this for you.

Top-Notch, On-Going Training

Certified Kenworth Parts Professionals: Trained and Tested

The goal of the Parts Professional Certification program is to provide the most knowledgeable parts salespeople in the industry. Training includes information on products for your vehicles, as well as instruction on technologies used by dealership personnel. Program participants are tested on the material they have studied, and, if they achieve the required score on all tests, participants receive Kenworth Parts Professional certification. Certification tests are based on specially-developed Kenworth Product Training Videos and Workbooks.

Kenworth Product Training Videos provide supplier presentations and demonstrations of product features and benefits as well as segments on Kenworth services and parts look-up programs. Kenworth Product Training Workbooks focus on suppliers' products and technical information in a traditional paper-based format and include technical drawings, reference charts, and details.

Along with the Parts Professional Certification Program, your dealer uses other resources to ensure that you receive excellent service from a highly capable team.

  • The National Training Team consists of highly-skilled Kenworth employees who specialize in a variety of areas. This team goes to dealer locations to teach high-quality customer service skills and help streamline the over-all process of business interactions. The training needs for the dealership are assessed and training is customized to meet the dealership requirements and priorities.
  • Merchandising Training Workbooks detail how to create a pleasant shopping environment that allows you to quickly and easily find the products you need.
  • Classroom Training focusing on hands-on instruction and interactive learning is available for all dealership personnel. In-dealership training is focused on a particular training need at a specific dealership. Classes at training facilities bring together personnel from many dealerships to learn and share new ideas, procedures, processes, and technical or diagnostic information. Participants take this information back into their dealerships to assist their co-workers with training.

The Resources to Do the Job Right

Kenworth dealers have the resources they need to do the work you need done. Whether it's researching a part, looking at your chassis design, ordering a part, or reviewing a service process, they can do it for you using the following tools.

    ECAT (Electronic Parts Catalog)

ECAT allows your dealer to look at a chassis in great detail--and with the ever-increasing complexity of trucks, that's essential! Along with providing automated chassis research for Kenworth trucks built in 1988 and later, ECAT provides faster and easier access to final chassis Bills of Material information, Kenworth parts catalogs, and major vendor parts catalogs. A Visual Search feature displays images of the outside or frame views of a truck. The user simply points and clicks on the desired section of the truck to find listings of parts in that area. Once the right part is identified, the system links to information on price and availability. This seamless process ensures quicker, more accurate Customer Service.

Fleet ECAT is available to Kenworth dealership customers. To learn more about this useful product, including PC requirements and pricing, contact your Kenworth dealer.

    PartsNet

PartsNet is a web-based program that provides supplier, product, and ordering information to Kenworth dealers. PartsNet is updated weekly, which means that Kenworth dealers always have current information on parts and services you need for your trucks and trailers.

    SmartSearch

SmartSearch is a web-based program designed to help Kenworth dealers quickly find parts information for "all-makes" of trucks and trailers. With more than 1.8 million part number cross references and over 350 guides to find parts by application, Kenworth dealers are able to quickly find the right part to fit your trucks, regardless of the name on the grill. Cross-reference information and application guides are regularly updated and added to keep dealers current.

    Managed Dealer Inventory

Parts availability is what customers need most when their trucks have a breakdown. This makes inventory control critical at dealerships. Parts departments invest many hours to ensure that they have the right parts in stock at the right time. The new Managed Dealer Inventory (MDI) application automates much of this process--it is an advanced forecasting and replenishment software system. What this means for you is better parts availability at participating Kenworth dealerships.

    Kenworth ServiceNet

An electronic library of technical information, ServiceNet includes manuals, bulletins, electrical schematics, labor guidelines, and more. Kenworth ServiceNet provides dealers with the most up-to-date service information from Kenworth and PACCAR vendors. This online source of technical information speeds the flow of information to service technicians, allowing them to quickly service and maintain Kenworth vehicles, as well as find or order the right parts for the job.

ServiceNet is available to Kenworth fleet customers--your local dealership can give you all the details, including pricing information.
